DIMM FLEX
DIMM Flex provides enthusiasts with a powerful new way to overclock their DDR5 memory modules. It employs specialized circuitry that can boost performance or address potential stability issues, depending on temperature readings. When temperatures are nominal, it can use the extra headroom to increase speeds and efficiency. And when temperatures increase, it can adjust memory behavior downward to maintain stability.
M.2 AND CHIPSET HEATSINKS
(1) To save space, both on-board M.2 slots and heatsinks are stacked together over the chipset. And to keep the thermals of installed high-performance drives in check, the entire array is cooled by an embedded fan.
VRM HEATSINK
(1) The VRM heatsink extends over the rear I/O to maximize surface area and include a VRM fan for active cooling to deftly handle the power thermals of the latest Intel processors, while leaving clearance for large CPU coolers.
HIGH-CONDUCTIVITY THERMAL PADS
(2) High-quality thermal pads are utilized between power stages and heatsinks, helping to improve heat transfer and reduce VRM operating temperatures.
4-PIN FAN HEADERS
The Strix Z890-I features five chassis fan headers, each supporting auto-detection of PWM or DC fans.
FAN BRACKET
Introducing the versatile ROG Strix Z890-I Gaming Wifi Fan Bracket, designed to ensure high airflow for this motherboard’s dual M.2 slots or DRAM slots when you add a 30 mm or 40 mm fan. This addition to your compact gaming build combines functionality with signature ROG aesthetics, and it can accommodate a variety of cooling needs.
ROG STRIX HIVE II
The ROG Hive II is an exclusive accessory designed to deliver user-friendly access to hardware and software features.
ROG FPS Card
The ROG FPS card groups I/O onto a vertically-mounted card, saving valuable motherboard space and tidying cable management. Connections can also be made before the card is installed, greatly simplifying installation in cramped quarters. It features two SATA ports, front panel headers, two USB 2.0 headers (for up to three USB 2.0 connections), a CPU_OV jumper for extreme overclocking and a PCIe alteration mode switch.
PCIE 5.0
The Strix Z890-I offers end-to-end PCIe 5.0 support. The topmost x16 expansion slot is also protected with a SafeSlot retention bracket to bear the weight of the latest graphics cards. Each of the M.2 slots offers read and write speeds up to a blistering 16 GB/s, while the remaining slot can deliver still-impressive 8 GB/s transfers. Both M.2 slots are covered with substantial heatsinks to dispatch the heat of next-gen storage.
TWO THUNDERBOLT 4 TYPE-C® PORTS
Each port delivers up to 40 Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth for the latest super-speed devices and drives. Both ports can be employed for up to two external 4K displays, and PCIe bandwidth extends to up to 32 Gbps.
ASUS WiFi Q-Antenna
Dual transceivers support the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands to enable faster throughput, with directional sensitivity to improve signal quality and cover greater distances.
